Event: Maison Q x The Green Spot, 13 May
In collaboration with the creative folks at local kids fashion brand, Maison Q, we will be upcycling fabric ends from the Maison Q collection to reusable beeswax wraps as giveaways to invited guests.
This collaboration aims to:
- To promote waste reduction by giving life to fabric that would otherwise be tossed out
- To encourage creative thinking of ways we can reuse or repurpose material before considering adding them to our waste stream
- To encourage the reduced use of plastic by introducing alternatives. In this case, switching from plastic cling wrap to reusable beeswax wraps.
At this event, Maison Q will be launching a capsule collection designed by Nadiah M. Din (@NadiahMdin) and Malaque Mahdaly (@malaquemahdaly). From 3-5pm, kids will be preoccupied activities like balloon sculpting, calligraphy, face painting and nail painting, while the adults do some, erm, shopping.
Maison Q is dedicated to maximising the life of their apparels. All of their designs for kids are reversible or versatile in ways to wear, ensuring the kids (and your pockets) get the most mileage out of every piece. And to emphasise the importance of quality, they work closely with a family-owned workshop to ensure that our products showcase an excellent level of quality. With a team of experienced artisans, Maison Q can transform ideas into reality. And because the collections are designed and made by the in-house team, they are one-of-a-kind and cannot be found anywhere else.
Check out the Maison Q homepage to find out more about their story and designs.
